Visitor Appreciation Day at Madeline Island Museum

This is the perfect time to explore Madeline Island history at a special early season discount — just $2 per person! The event coincides with a free-admission day at nearby Big Bay State Park and free transportation to and from the island from Bayfield on the Madeline Island Ferry Line.

The museum, composed of three historic island structures and the modern Capser Center, contains exhibits detailing Wisconsin history from 17th-century exploration and the era of the fur trade to the arrival of summer tourists, known as cottagers, in the early 20th century.
